Privacy Policy for DueWise

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies only to the DueWise mobile application for iPhone and iPad (published on the App Store as DueWise Reminders), developed by Shahab Geravesh. It does not describe other websites or products, except for limited links you may open yourself (for example, support contact forms on the developer’s public site).

2. What DueWise is for

DueWise helps you track things that expire, need replacement, or require renewal—such as filters, contact lenses, toothbrush heads, documents, and custom items you define—and can schedule reminders so you act before items are due.

3. Information stored on your device

When you use DueWise, the app may store the following entirely on your device:

• Items you create — names, categories, due or cycle dates, notes, optional fields (for example brand, quantity, cost, purchase date, identification numbers), locations, and status (active, completed, history).
• Reminder preferences — lead times, reminder time of day (default 9:00 AM unless you change it), overdue follow-ups, and related notification settings.
• History — replacement, renewal, and completion events you record, so you can see what you already handled.
• Optional photos — images you attach to an item via the system photo picker, saved in the app’s local container.
• App preferences — appearance (including Light/Dark), onboarding completion, and similar settings.
• Export files you generate — JSON or CSV backups you choose to create, written under the app’s local export location until you share or delete them.

Technical storage uses Apple’s on-device mechanisms (including the app’s Application Support directory for primary data files and UserDefaults for small settings). There is no DueWise remote database, Firebase, Supabase, CloudKit, or developer-operated server that receives your item lists.

4. What we do not collect

For App Store “App Privacy” purposes and everyday use:

• DueWise does not create accounts or require sign-in.
• DueWise does not transmit your tracked items, notes, photos, or history to the developer for processing or storage.
• DueWise does not include third-party advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.
• DueWise does not sell personal data or share your content with data brokers.
• DueWise does not use server-based push notifications. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device with Apple’s UserNotifications framework when you grant permission.
• DueWise does not provide multi-device cloud sync in this release.

5. Photos

Photos are optional. If you attach an image, access is limited to what you select through the system photo experience. The image remains on the device inside DueWise’s local storage. DueWise does not upload those photos to a DueWise server (there is none). If you export a JSON backup, photo binaries are not embedded; the export may reference local filenames only.

6. Notifications

With your permission, DueWise schedules local alerts for dates and lead times you configure. Those notifications are generated and delivered by iOS on the same device. Disabling notification permission or deleting an item removes related scheduled reminders for that content as the app reschedules or cancels them.

7. Export, import, and sharing

You may export your data as JSON or CSV and share the file using the system share sheet (Messages, Files, AirDrop, and so on). Import only happens when you deliberately select a valid DueWise export. Invalid files do not replace your existing data. Exported information leaves your device only through actions you take.

8. Internet access

DueWise is designed to work offline for core tracking and reminders. Limited network use may occur when you open system Settings, or when you visit the developer’s public support website from in-app support links. DueWise does not use those moments to upload your item database to a DueWise backend.

9. Children

DueWise is a general personal productivity tool. It does not include social features, public profiles, or developer-side collection of data from children. Do not use the app to collect information from children for third-party purposes. The product is age-rated for a general audience on the App Store.

10. Deleting your data

You can delete individual items or clear local data from within the app (Settings). Uninstalling DueWise removes the app’s local container, which typically permanently deletes app data that was not previously exported to a location outside the app. iOS may also erase local data if you erase the device.

11. Third parties

Apple provides the App Store, iOS, and system frameworks (notifications, photo picker, share sheet). Apple’s practices are governed by Apple’s own privacy policy. DueWise does not integrate additional third-party tracking or ads.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, an updated version will be published at this same URL with a new effective date. Material changes may also be reflected in the Privacy Policy screen inside the DueWise app in a future app update.
